Consciousness, though fundamental, remains poorly understood, since its reduction to mere physical or philosophical processes has repeatedly failed. This exposes the necessity for interdisciplinary approaches towards a unified, testable model that can foster our basic understanding of ourselves. This paper proposes the Resonance Frequency Coding Principle (RFCP) as a unifying model candidate, integrating concepts from neuroscience (GNW, IIT) and biophysics (CEMI), via predictive information processing within a metric structure.
